Last year T-11 made her first BFF.  They both share a love of horses and pretend play that usually ages out at this point, so it was nice they found another person to be an immature little kid around since everyone else in their grade is going through puberty ( Read more... )

My kids are all in track for the Summer, three mornings a week.  After the first week, I was a little distressed because C-7 told me there was some kid on the field who tripped him and punched him in the back as he fell, then the kid spent the rest of track yelling at C-7 who had told on him.

I've been feeling a little down lately, Smoochie's gone and I feel like we've just been stuck in the house playing video games and watching friggin' Hanna Montana on Netflix (What is up with how she talks? Seriously).

Today we got a big box from the in-laws.  I knew it was Christmas gifts for the kids so I let them open it.  Only to find the box was stuffed with packing peanuts.  These proved a big hit with my kids.

Today, we had the annual LeftOvers Lunch at my moms.  And my brother was there.  My brother and I have not been on good terms for several years now because he refuses to acknowledge my kids unless forced.  He won't even greet them when they walk in the door.  It's incredibly demeaning and I talked to him about it ages ago, but he's never changed ( Read more... )

The hedgehog escaped last night.

I had rearranged the stuff in it's cage and moved the water bottle which meant I couldn't latch the lid.  T-7 told me the hedgehog could get out, but I poo pooed her.  And this morning, I came out, lid is on the floor, hog nowhere to be found.  I am the worst parent ever.

I have locked myself out of my van. They keys are all safely inside the van, sitting on the dash. Along with my tea, the diaper bag and the chocolate that I really need right now.
